HOI Facilities Information
Security
- Only the Discipleship Center and Preschool building will be used by Hope of Israel.
- All children must be accompanied by a parent or a teacher at all times.
- No children are to be on the Playground before or after service, or at any time during the week.
- If you see anything that looks wrong, please contact either Will Faulkner, one of the Security team, or the uniformed police officer that will be on site during our services.
Shabbat School
- No Children are to be on the Playground before or after the service. The only time the playground may be used is during the 10:30 hour with Two HOI Teachers outside with the children. All other times the playground is off limits, as required by CCOG’s insurance company.
- The Meditation/Prayer Garden between the Children’s Building and the Discipleship Center is not to be used as a playground.
- NO children will be allowed in the Children’s Ministry Building unattended. Parents must drop their children off in the Shabbat School classroom. Older siblings cannot be responsible for younger siblings, as required by CCOG’s insurance company. If parents arrive before the teachers they must wait outside. (Esther Fernandes will be responsible for the Protani children since Annette will be monitoring the nursery in the Discipleship Building.)
- HOI staff is not to use CCOG supplies in the classrooms. HOI supplies will be available as needed. In case of emergency we can use the CCOG supplies but must replace any items used immediately so the day school will not be short or inconvenienced.
- Neither HOI staff nor parents are to go into the supply rooms. Esther Fernandes will manage the supply rooms, including setting out the toys for the 3-4 yr old room. If you would like to use anything from the supply rooms it must be signed out through Esther.
- The Children’s Building will be closed after the 10:30 service. No children will be taken there to play after the service, and no Oneg will be eaten in the Children’s Building.
- Children MUST BE PICKED UP PROMPTLY after Shabbat School and after the 10:30 service. Due to safety issues the children cannot be walked down and released into the crowd after the 10:30 service like we do now. Parents will be asked to drop their children off and pick them up from Shabbat School. At 11:00 the children will leave the service as usual but parents will be asked to pick their children up after the main service. Please be thoughtful and pick your children up immediately after the service, as many of the teachers have children of their own they must tend to.
- The nursery, infants through 2-yr-olds, will be located in the Discipleship building along with the adult classrooms. Our regular nursery workers will be making the move with us. We thank G-d for them and their devotion to serving the L-rd at HOI. Annette Protani will be over the nursery. If you have any concerns, please see Annette.
- G-d has blessed us with a beautiful tent to use until we get to the Promised Land. May we honor and glorify Him while we are here!!
Entry, exit and Restroom Facilities during the Worship Service
Entrance to the Discipleship Building (Nursery, Adult Shabbat School classes, and Worship Service) is only through the Front entrance double doors.
Restroom facilities located behind the Bema (platform/stage) in the Discipleship Center will not be accessible during the 10:30 service. Traffic coming and going through the doors to the right and left of the platform would create distractions for worshippers and interruptions to the service; therefore, these doors will be closed off and not accessible once the service begins. If you are stopping by the restroom facilities after Adult Shabbat school class, please be back in the Discipleship Center before the 10:30 service begins. If the service has already begun, we respectfully ask that you would exit through the side door to the parking lot and walk back around to the Front entrance double doors to enter the Worship Service.
There are restroom facilities located in the Preschool Building where the children's classes are located. Shalom Ministry will have a team member located by the sound booth and doors to the foyer to assist in directing/escorting people to the restrooms in the Children's Building. In keeping with security requirements and the safety of our children, a member of the HOI security team will be available at the Children's Building to ensure that those coming in/out of the building are part of HOI Congregation.
